Program Coordinator

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is seeking a full-time (40-hour week) Program Coordinator for the Wellness and Health Promotion division. This position will support health education and preventive programs to advance public health in our community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates and evaluates health education programs, activities, and services within the division, targeting identified jurisdictions and sub-populations.
  • Develops methods for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data specific to health education initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with grant and funding requirements for health education programs.
  • Conducts research and analysis to support health education projects, providing recommendations for program enhancement.
  • Acts as a health education resource to community groups, agencies, businesses, and the public.
  • Consults with other divisions to coordinate health education services and programs to meet community needs.
  • Supervises and evaluates staff performance, addressing personnel concerns within the health education team."

Requirements include:

  • A master’s degree in a closely related field and one (1) year of work experience
  • Or a bachelor’s degree in an area that closely aligns with responsibilities and three (3) years of responsible professional work experience.
  • Or Three (3) additional years (for a total of six [6] years) of responsible professional work experience in a related area may substitute for the undergraduate degree requirement.
  • Two years of management and supervisory experience is preferred.

The starting annual salary for this position is $62,162 for a 40-hour work week.
