About the Position:

Provides supervision, information, and acts as a resource for all Supervisors and Family Workers.

A Typical Day as a Specialized Foster Care Assistant Program Coordinator:

• Aid in the development and service delivery of Specialized Foster Care services to designated service region. Act as a liaison between supervisors and family workers solving problems and sharing information as necessary.
• Evaluate all Specialized Foster Care services for all offices to ensure they are meeting long-term objectives of the agency and meeting standards of time and cost efficiencies.
• Provide assistance in navigating internal/external referrals, subcontracts, client consents and service coordination for the medically complex and behavioral specialized youth in care.
• Oversee all service contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy with guidelines and procedures.
• Prepare necessary reports for decision making and documentation by the agency as well as state and federal agencies.

Does the Following Apply to You?

• Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' experience working with specialized population.
• Experience in child welfare (preferred)
• Experience with medically complex and/or behaviorally specialized youth in care (preferred)

Additional Qualifications:

• Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Obtain an insured vehicle
• At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
