Salary :

Starting at $40,750.00 (Exempt)

About the Position :

Oversee the day-to-day work of Family Support Workers, providing support, information, and back-up, while ensuring responsive, timely service delivery and efficient utilization of Agency resources.

A Typical Day as a Foster Care Team Supervisor :

  • Provide regular and on-going supervision to assigned staff members to ensure consistent delivery of quality service.
  • Conduct and / or participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed and up to date on agency wide issues and initiatives, as well as to discuss site-specific concerns.
  • Evaluate all foster care services provided to ensure that it is meeting long-term objectives of the agency and meeting standards of time and cost efficiencies, as well as sensitivity to the cultural differences in the service population.
  • Supervise assigned staff, assisting them with technical and delivery issues and provide performance feedback on an on-going basis.
  • Provide field training, perspective, and support, which empower direct service personnel to deliver the services effectively.
  • Provide assistance to caseworkers and other services to clients when staff is not available.
  • Assist with foster parents' recruitment activities when requested.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with team members.
  • Ensure visitation room are clean, orderly and fully supplied (dependent on location)

Location :

4703 44th St. Rock Island, IL with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court.

This office provides services to the following counties : Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer

Work Hours : Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served

Does the Following Apply to You?

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, or related field
  • Child Welfare Experience (preferred)
  • Child Welfare Licensure (preferred)

Additional Qualifications :

  • Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Obtain an insured vehicle
  • At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of DCFS Foundations Training to obtain Child Welfare Licensure
