Assessing Tribal Corp Members' interests, aptitudes, and abilities to assist in career and educational planning.
Develop and implement in-service development training sessions and workshops to achieve career readiness and educational goals.
Work with Tribal Corp Members to develop individualized service plans based on their self-assessments and an inventory of needed services.
Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of monthly orientation sessions including explaining the rights and responsibilities of Tribal Corp Members the Tribal Corp Members handbook, and the Tribal Corp Members agreement to Tribal Corp Members.
Coordinate with the Tribal Crew Supervisor to be present when Tribal Corp Members work and attend education and development activities.
Make sure that all documents have been collected to determine Tribal Corp Members' information is entered into the electronic folder accurately.
Meet with each Tribal Corp Member individually at least once per quarter to make sure that progress is being made on their individual service plan.
Coordinate job fairs, employer showcases, resume development, interview preparation, and job placement activities to ensure that services are delivered to Tribal Corp Members efficiently.
Make sure that the Tribal Corp Members' files contain the necessary documents as they relate to annual certification from the Tribal Conservation Corporation and coordinate with other departments as necessary.
Create programs to audit Tribal Corp Members' records and determine progress toward meeting corps academic requirements and eligibility for completion.
Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with one or more of the following service areas: training, transitional aged youth development, community outreach, intake services, mentoring, or related other related work.
Any combination of experience in the following is strongly desired: habitat conservation, Cultural restoration, forest health, wildfire resilience, urban and community greening, sustainable, and climate-smart agriculture, outdoor access and recreation, park infrastructure and construction/renovation.
Background Investigation - To proceed, you need to undergo fingerprinting and pass a Criminal Offender Record Information check administered by the HR Department of The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians.
At least 27 years of age
Ability to work independently on and off-site.
Knowledge of and comfortable with using Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Must possess a valid California driver's license and comply with the requirements of the Tribe's driving policy and insurance requirements.
