Valco Melton, a world leader in adhesive application, fluid handling, and quality assurance systems, is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join the Customer Service team based at our world headquarters in Cincinnati.

This is a unique role on the Customer Service team, having a special focus on exports and international transactions. This person will be responsible for managing our exports and ensuring seamless transactions for our international clients. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with the rest of the Customer Service function to provide excellent day-to-day support for our general customer base.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the export process, ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards.
• Coordinate international shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics arrangements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for international customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service.
• Collaborate with other teams, including Shipping, Sales, and Accounting, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery.
• Monitor and track international orders to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Continuously evaluate and improve export processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Assist the Customer Service team with day-to-day tasks, including order processing, handling customer inquiries, and resolving escalated issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience managing international transactions and export processes.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with international customers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
• Certification in Export Management or related field is a plus.
