The Health Services QA/Training Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing Quality Assurance audit functions, training, and coaching for Health Services staff to ensure accurate and timely claims payment and care management/coordination services thereby improving quality of service and member satisfaction. This position will travel to locations within the VIVA Health Service area through a reliable means of transportation insured in accordance with Company policy.

REQUIRED:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Two years of experience in Medical Management/Case Management

* Current LPN or RN license in good standing with the State of Alabama Board of Nursing

* May require face-to-face member contact with duties regularly performed away from the principal place of business

* Willing to submit to vaccine testing and screening

* Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a thorough knowledge of medical terminology

* Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and willing to work to satisfy departmental goals when required

* Ability to be flexible and accommodate shifting priorities

* Ability to perform day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment, and maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED:

* Experience working with accreditation and auditing processes such as URAC, NCQA, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

* Experience with Managed Care/HMO
