Duties
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples from patients
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and ensure accurate labeling
- Follow proper procedures for specimen collection, processing, and handling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures
- Provide excellent patient care and ensure their comfort during the phlebotomy process
- Verify patient information and confirm the accuracy of requisitions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or certification
- Proficient in performing venipuncture and blood sampling techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and specimen collection processing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in labeling specimens
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a compassionate manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Note: Prior experience as a phlebotomist is preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the necessary skills and qualifications.
