Description

The Groundskeeper must possess a basic knowledge of general lawn care, equipment maintenance, and basic landscaping techniques, and have experience operating all groundskeeping equipment. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions. Ability to perform all groundskeeping tasks while being attentive to safety while operating and maintaining lawn mowing equipment, weed eater, leaf blower, fertilizer spreader, pruning tools, and power washer. 

Assist with various facility maintenance tasks as outlined by the maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, building exteriors, and parking lots.

• Remove trash from all ground areas.

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in completing assigned maintenance tasks.

• Meticulously maintain curb appeal.

• Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected promptly and reported to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Compliance with all safety policies.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Adheres to the facility’s Standards of Excellence.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Groundskeeper experience preferred.

• Must possess a strong attention to detail.

• A current driver’s license to operate vehicles is required.

• Demonstrates ability to perform tasks described with little to no supervision.

• Comply with all company policies.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time (bags of soil, mulch, misc. equipment, etc.)

• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

Pay: $15.00 

Schedule:

• Three, 8-hour shifts per week scheduled between Monday and Friday.
