With over 12,000 units across 10 states under management and more than 450 employees, Paths manages a suite of capabilities spanning the entire property life-cycle, including: development, construction, property management, maintenance, and security. Summary:The RMS Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will coordinate and complete all requested work, assign priorities, and follow up on completion. In addition, assist with all aspects of REAC, Housing Choice Voucher, CVR inpections and all other inspections within our portfolio.Classification: Non-exempt (overtime eligible)Essential functions/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the followingPerform basic repairs and adjustments (i.e. carpentry work, painting, plastering, flooring work, demolition of walls, electrical, etc.)Efficiently manage work orders and service requests assigned by Foreman or Property ManagerComplete renovation projects as neededPerform high-quality work with attention to detailProvide strong customer service and effectively communicate Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience with a successful track record as maintenance tech/handymanHigh School diploma or GED preferredThorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of personal protective equipmentExperienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenanceGood at troubleshooting and problem solvingOwning all tools needed for general handyman tasks is a plusDue to physical nature of certain required tasks, must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a timeMust be flexible to travel for assignments in or out of the Tri-State area.Benefits:We pay 100% of medical benefits, for employee only.
