Position Summary

William Penn Bank, a growing community bank is looking to hire a full time Assistant Branch Manager to join our retail team in our Doylestown, PA branch. This position supervises and coordinates activities of front-line employees engaged in sales and service to build and maintain effective account relationships. Promotes expansion of deposit and lending services by selling and cross-selling all bank products and services while providing quality service and information to customers and prospective customers. We offer a competitive salary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and prospective customers, addressing them by name whenever possible, promotes the expansion of deposit and lending products and services by expanding the benefits and assisting customers in opening accounts.
  • Participates in all bank promotions, sells and cross-sells all bank products and services while providing quality service and information to customers and prospective customers in a manner that will enhance the overall image of the bank.
  • Pay special attention to customers and prospective customers needs and reactions to identify sales opportunities, assists associates in sales promotions and problem solving with customers, resolving customer problems, answers inquiries, explains changes in procedures and helps provide assistance as needed.
  • Seeks out new prospect, both individual and business; actively helps plan and oversees activities of the branch, such as direct solicitation campaign to develop business.
  • Assigns duties and work schedules to subordinates to ensure efficient functioning of branch, maintains high level of employee morale, keeps staff informed of changes in bank policy or operating methods
  • Assist in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate personal.
  • Prepares periodic activity and monthly reports, monitors and maintains monetary log for Bank Secrecy Act. May be required to operate a teller terminal.
  • Analyze and maintains appropriate level of vault cash for daily operations, routinely audits teller cash drawers and vault.
  • Represents the bank in business development efforts and at civic and community functions.
  • Participates in Bank and Community events. Serves as a volunteer for the community a minimum of 8 hours annually and records hours in Continuity.
  • Follows compliance with traditional Bank policies and procedures. Adheres to compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act including accurate completion of CTR’s, Monetary Instrument logs, and reporting of suspicious activities to supervisor. Completes BSA and related compliance training annually.
  • Adheres to proper regulatory compliance practices inherent in this position by following departmental policies and procedures, completing compliance training as assigned and questioning and areas of uncertainty regarding proper process
  • Maintain registration through the NMLS and comply with all SAFE Act requirements
  • Other duties assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Professional interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees
  • Cash handling accuracy
  • Ability to operate on-line teller terminal and other standard office equipment
  • Successful completion of teller training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and software, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, as required to support job functions.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal error.
  • Ability to work with demanding timelines and schedules.
  • Pursues continuing educational requirements as established in annual goals and review process.
