Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Education Specialist to join our team. The Education Specialist will work closely with our clients, their families, and our staff to develop and implement educational programs that support our clients' unique needs and goals. This role is vital in providing a positive and enriching learning environment for our clients, fostering their personal and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for clients based on their needs, interests, and abilities
- Provide one-on-one and group educational support to clients
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to track clients' progress and adjust educational plans accordingly
- Collaborate with clients' families, teachers, and therapists to create a cohesive and effective support system
- Research, develop, and implement new teaching techniques and strategies to meet clients' specific learning needs
- Organize and facilitate educational activities and outings both in the community and on-site
- Communicate regularly with clients' families and provide them with progress updates and recommendations
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure the continuous improvement of educational programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in special education, special needs education, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Strong knowledge of special education methods and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized educational plans
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Salary: $43,000 to $55,000
