Hope Youth is Hiring a Program Assistant Near Bay Shore, NY

To be a successful Youth ACT Team Program Assistant you must become able and willing to do the following always:

  1. Function within the policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual and program manual.
  2. Adhere to state regulations and applicable code of conduct.
  3. Work within an interdisciplinary team to assist client in their overall functioning and achieve desired outcomes.
  4. Liaise with DSS, schools and other child and youth collateral contacts
  5. Attend trainings and professional development as assigned
  6. Attend daily team meetings
  7. Performing reception/secretarial activities, including phones, messages, scheduling appointments,

filing, office organization and supplies.

  1. Complete client tracking reports and logs as assigned and enter information into databases.
  2. Verifying accuracy of patient insurance and demographic information
  3. Assist with health insurance contracting, credentialing, authorizations, verifications, and general

inquiries.

  1. Perform other resulting and necessary work to meet the needs and requirements of the clients, the program, Hope For Youth, oversight agency and any other regulatory obligations

How you will generally spend your time in this job:

55% General secretarial duties and scheduling of appointments

30% Typing and preparing reports

10% Maintaining various databases

5% Staff meeting/supervision/training

To qualify, you must have and maintain:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. One year experience providing general office work, ie. secretarial/reception
  3. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. EHR experience preferred, but not required.
  5. Physical Requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements, driving own vehicle
