Department:

Department Overview

The Strategic Accounting & Finance ("SAF") Department is responsible for the financial reporting, forecasting and analytics of the Management Companies at Golub Capital. Its goal is to provide reliable and timely information enhancing the financial situational awareness of Firm leadership. The SAF Department liaises with and supports multiple departments to meet Golub Capital's overall financial needs. The SAF Department manages critical financial functions such as cash management, maintaining accounting records and reporting according to U.S. GAAP, firmwide compensation, budgeting and variance analysis, communicating financial performance to Firm leadership and interacting with Internal Accounting.

Position Responsibilities

The Senior Compensation Associate will be responsible for researching compensation structures for different roles in the Firm (including base salary, bonuses, compensation increases / raises), analyzing compensation surveys and assisting with administering compensation programs and initiatives. This role requires a professional with excellent attention to detail and strong data integrity skills.

Responsibilities include:

* Reviewing and providing compensation recommendations across client groups for new hires, promotions and associated pay adjustments using best practices

* Handling ongoing job analysis, job evaluation and market pricing of global positions

* Leading compensation programs and projects such as the annual merit, adjustment and promotion processes

* Conducting pay equity analysis of roles in response to changing organizational needs, market values and geographic differentials

* Partnering closely with the Payroll Team to ensure timely and accurate payment and tracking of payments

* Researching and responding to compensation related requests from employees, Finance Team and HR Business Partners

* Assisting with all operational aspects of the annual compensation planning processes including maintaining the compensation system (e.g., Beqom)

* Assisting with preparation of required reporting and disclosures as they relate to regulatory compliance requirements

* Conducting ad-hoc compensation and budget analyses as requested

* Assisting in documenting existing processes and workflows and identifying continuous improvement opportunities

* Managing vendor relationships (e.g., AST, Beqom)

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics and / or a related field

* 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Compensation or related field

* Experience in applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision making and outcomes

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including the ability to create complex formulas)

* Solid analytical, mathematical and research skills

* Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow through

* Ability to maintain confidentiality dealing with sensitive information

* Ability to drive projects to completion independently while also functioning effectively in a team environment

* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Prior experience with Beqom is a plus

* Abide by our work-in-office policies then in effect

Compensation and Benefits

For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $125,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
