Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Physician Assistant to join its trauma surgery, critical care, and general surgery team at Memorial Regional Hospital, the only Level 1 Trauma Center in South Broward County. The selected candidate will partner with an experienced team of PAs and board-certified critical care surgeons in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment and entails the management of patients in the surgical ICU. The provider will be expected to conduct first assist duties in the OR and perform bedside procedures. Interest in participation research is strongly encouraged. Advanced Practice Providers with critical care knowledge and procedural or operative experience is advantageous. Candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, an ATLS from the American College of Surgeons, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.

Schedule requirements will alternate between 13-hour day and night shift and includes weekend coverage. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
