JOB TITLE: Food Service Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Principal and Pastor
HRS/WEEK: 35-40 Hours

Primary Purpose:
Directs a comprehensive food services program and assumes direct responsibility for all aspects of food services administration. Responsible for planning, preparing and serving school lunch to students on a daily basis, following nutrition and portion guidelines established by the state.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required or Preferred:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge of USDA guidelines and County Health Departments Safe Food Handling Guidelines. Previous work experience in food service in a facility of comparable size is preferred. Must be able to supervise additional workers, directing and delegating tasks as needed. Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, and members of the public required.

· Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to position items over and under, push, pull, move or lift a minimum of 10 pounds and be able to push, pull, move or carry such weight a minimum of 10 feet, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
· Occasionally lift over 50 pounds with assistance from coworkers.
