Manage the Recreational Facilities and related areas, promote the facilities, events, and activities. Create and implement new programs and activities to optimize guest amenities, quality service and profits in a safe, sanitary environment. Position is responsible for the short -term planning and daily operations of the recreational facilities and related areas. Recommends and implements program/procedural changes. Monitors and controls the budget.

Essential Functions:

• Attract, retain, and maximize associate productivity; hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications discipline, and recommend termination, as appropriate. (50%)
• Develop, implement, supervise and evaluate recreational programs/activities for all facilities while complying with LSOPs, SOPs, federal, state, and local regulations to provide optimal service which enhances the guest's experience while maximizing profits. (20%)
• Develop promotional materials and implement programs, activities and events to maximize guest usage, satisfaction, and profits. (5%)
• Solicit, book, and manage group and individual guest recreation activities to maximize revenues and provide a wide range of guest services. (5%)
• Recommend, implement, monitor, and control the Recreation budget and its various components (labor, costs, supplies, equipment, etc..) to maximize revenues and minimize expenses. (5%)
• Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the various outlets and equipment to protect the assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service. (10%)
• Perform the tasks of associates supervised when needed to facilitate service and train associates. (5%)

Non-Essential Functions:

• Perform other duties as directed or assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Education: More than two years of post-high school education, but less than a degree from a four year college.

Experience: Experience required by position is from one to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

Skills and Abilities: Requires investigating and analyzing current activities or information, arriving at logical conclusions and making recommendations. Ability to make decisions and follow a course of action based upon established policy and procedures. Supervisory/management skills required. Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and hotel guests.
