Position Summary:

The person in this position shares responsibility for providing customer service (via phone, email, zoom, or in person), and financial aid services (evaluating FAFSA's, awarding students, etc.) to all students attending PNCA. This position also supports overall financial aid processes for Willamette and PNCA by managing one financial aid program (student loans, federal/state grants, scholarships, etc.)

JOB DESCRIPTION

* Greets incoming visitors to the office; responds to questions or redirects them to others, as appropriate. (shared responsibility)

* Answers main phone line; respond to questions as much as possible. (shared responsibility)

* Responds to student/parent inquiries via email. (shared responsibility)

* Generates and processes routine reports and/or routes output appropriately.

* Monitors incomplete student files and follows up with students as needed, tracking all interactions.

* Opens mail, date stamps, tracks, and routes appropriately.

* Evaluates applications for financial aid for PNCA students, determines eligibility, and awards federal, private, and institutional aid.

* Assumes responsibility for all processes associated with one of the university's aid programs (student loans, federal/state grants, scholarships, etc.)

* Liaison with PNCA admissions, registrar, student accounts offices, et al.

* Assists with annual Colleague set up.

* Responsible for conducting financial aid presentations on or off-campus, as needed.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree.

* Two years of progressively responsible general clerical experience.

* Knowledge of personal computers and network applications.

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior Financial Aid experience

* Experience in Microsoft Office software

* Bilingual

Typical Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Typical work is performed indoors in a normal office environment.
