We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join us as the Director of Concert Venue Rentals at Carnegie Hall. Situated in the vibrant cultural landscape of New York, this pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the rental and booking process of Carnegie Hall's 3 world renowned concert venues. The ideal candidate will have an energetic and proactive approach to their work, and a desire to positively contribute to a diverse, mission-driven, and artistic environment. Tasks & Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive rental strategy to maximize the utilization and revenue generation of our concert venue spacesManage a team of rental and booking professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of rental strategies and client relationshipsProactively identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with potential clients, including artists, booking agents, presenters, promoters, event planners, and corporate clientsNegotiate and finalize rental agreements, ensuring that all contractual terms and conditions are metCoordinate closely with our operations, production, and hospitality teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional client experiencesContinuously monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to identify new revenue opportunities and enhance our rental servicesDevelop and manage the concert venue rental budget, tracking key performance metrics and optimizing pricing and inventoryProvide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on venue rental strategy, policies, and long-term growth initiativesSkills & Qualifications: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in concert venue and/or event, management, with a proven track record of successful venue rentals and client relationship managementDemonstrate a creative and entrepreneurial mindset and be proficient in identifying and leveraging commercial opportunities, encompassing rental ventures and potential partnershipsUtilize technology and data-driven methodologies to optimize processes, enhance decision making and drive strategic initiatives within the Rental/Booking departmentExtensive knowledge of the live entertainment industry, including booking processes, production requirements, and industry best practicesExceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of clientsProficient in contract management, budgeting, and financial analysisHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyPassion for the live music and entertainment industry, with a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of concert and event organizersBachelor's degree in business or a related field and/or demonstration of proven and successful experience in the field
