Full-time Description King-Bruwaert House is a beautiful Senior Living Community located in Burr Ridge, Illinois. With the completion of our new State-of-the-Art Healthcare building, The Martin Jahn Pavilion and the construction for our new luxurious Independent Living apartments, The Gardens, opening in May of 2024. Come be a part of our wonderful historic and growing community. We are currently looking for a Senior Director of Nursing. The primary purpose is planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing department. We are looking for a Senior Director of Nursing who is able to come in and identify key areas that require improvement, along with the ability to coach and develop current nursing staff in continuing to provide the quality care KBH is known to provide to our residents. Nursing Home Administrator license strongly preferred. Responsibilities:
Establishes and manages goals and objectives for the Nursing department through analysis and strategic planning consistent with the organization's mission.
Experience with implementation of a nursing Master schedule is highly preferred.
Oversees the development of the Nursing department structure and roles of each position.
Proven effectiveness in retention, team building, shared governance, participatory, and highly collaborative environment.
Drives ongoing CQI process, oversees milestone plans for performance improvement, and monitors clinical trends and outcomes.
Experience with Quint Studer principles including 5 pillar goal setting, employee check-in quarterly, resident rounding daily, and thank you notes.
Hires, educates and counsels a nursing leadership team to participate in clinical oversight.
Ability to raise expectations and accountability while generating buy in for change.
Resident focused environment with proven expertise with hardwiring behaviors to improve resident experience.
Demonstrated follow-up and follow-through, and project completion.
Empathy, mission focused, ability to create enthusiasm and a strong vision for nursing care.
Requirements
Nursing Home Administrator License (LNHA) strongly preferred
RN license required in the State of Illinois
Nursing Home Administrator License, geriatric, dementia, and or restorative nursing (preferred)
Master's level education (preferred)
BSN required
Prior DON experience required (2 to 5 years)
Strong process improvement outcomes
Prior Director/Manager in a magnet nursing environment is a strong preference
