JOB SUMMARY:

A successful Litigation Recovery Specialist will help to nurture profitable program entity relationships such that Customers value our premium finance services and we achieve superior, sustainable financial returns. The Litigation Recovery Specialist will be responsible for pursuing delinquent balances under premium finance agreements both in-house and through attorneys and outside collection agencies. The purpose of this position is to manage those accounts associated with delinquent balances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Place accounts with outside attorneys for litigation and follow up with attorneys to ensure accounts are being handled per IPFS standards; review and approve complaints; provide required information to attorneys to facilitate collection
• Review accounts placed with collections agencies to ensure the accounts are being worked to IPFS standards; respond to collection agency inquiries and provide any additional information required to facilitate collection; notify collection agencies of direct payments and handle credit balances and collection fees
• Prepare and send demand letters to agents and carriers for return premiums, follow up for response and respond to requests for additional information
• Respond to phone and email inquiries from insureds regarding attorney demand letters and provide any additional information required 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• 3-4 years of relevant work experience
• Background in collections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills including diplomacy and self-confidence
• Ability to take initiative, manage time and multitask
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues in the department and branch offices
• Ability to work independently to resolve issues

Associate’s degree
