WHAT YOU’LL DO

We make an extraordinary product. Some might say it defies gravity! As our Senior Quality Engineer you will provide experienced quality assurance support to our production process, resolve issues and ensure our product meets both Seakeeper and customer specifications. You will drive continuous improvement in the quality of our delivered units, build quality into our production processes, and work to continuously improve the quality of our vendor-supplied components. You’ll lead development of quality processes, supplier quality oversight, oversee data collection and analysis, assist with root cause corrective actions, and set the tone for quality standards within the organization, that we internally, as well as our suppliers, will operate within. In this position you will contribute to our manufacturing operations by:

• Leading development, preparation, and implementation of quality policies, procedures, and work instructions linked to quality assurance
• Developing processes for improved data collection and analysis of key indicators of integrated quality
• Establishing robust processes for the management and disposition of nonconforming products
• Escalating quality issue trends and assist in devising countermeasures
• Working closely with process partners to drive formal documentation of issues with Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis and reporting
• Developing systems to track vendor performance
• Devising quality tests and acceptance criteria within manufacturing
• Actively participating in the creation of FMEAs
• Coaching team members on proper process quality controls and inspection methodologies

MUST-HAVES

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related studies
• 5 years relevant experience working in a quality engineering role
• Demonstrated success with Root Cause Corrective Action initiatives
• Demonstrated metrology experience with solid GD&T understanding
• Measurement System Analysis and Statistical Process Control experience
• Be part doer, part leader who is motivated to improve both yourself and those around you
• Be self-motivated with unquestionable integrity and have superior time management, multitasking, organizational and prioritization skills
• Be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible and pay close attention to detail
• Possess conceptual, process improvement, functional and technical skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
• Possess quality focus, sound judgment and decision making
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and basic math skills
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) fluently in English

NICE-TO-HAVES

• ASQ, CQE, ISO certifications
• Previous experience working on a Quality team
• Previous Quality Management System experience
• Previous experience with data targeting, collection, and analysis

MORE DETAILS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW

• You’ll be based in our Leesport, PA facility full-time
• On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)
• You’ll report to the Director of Manufacturing Engineer, also based in Leesport, PA

• Expectation is 85% on site, 15% remote availability
