WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our Systems Development Engineers have an insatiable desire to make things better, constantly dissatisfied with the status quo. In this role, you’ll be the glue that connects the design and production phases of our engineering process, you’ll immediately contribute to developing unorthodox products by:

  • Contributing to multidisciplinary development teams to design new and improve existing products with challenging expectations in a timely manner
  • Creating, managing, and executing product validation plans including, but not limited to life, FMEA, field (boat testing), and vibration/sound testing
  • Providing technical leadership to help troubleshoot and diagnose product design issues prior to product launch
  • Creating innovative test procedures and helping automate long-term testing to accelerate project timelines
  • Designing, building, and/or spec’ing test apparatus and infrastructure
  • Developing systems expertise on Seakeeper’s current and future products
  • Mentoring other Systems Engineers
  • Effectively communicating test results, observations, and conclusions in a clear and intuitive way.
  • Documenting and cataloging collected data for future use
  • Generating 2D system schematics for development specifications and engineering drawings

  • Data analysis skills and experience utilizing programs such as Python, MATLAB, and/or DIAdem
  • Experience running experiments or validating products in a lab environment
  • FMEA participation experience
  • A strong understanding of hydraulic or electrical circuits
  • Capable of thinking systematically and documenting processes, procedures, and test results
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment, but also be effective working independently
  • Motivated to improve both yourself and those around you
  • Passion to bring new products into production

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • 10 years of product validation experience
  • Experience leading FMEA
  • Experience generating 2D Electrical or Hydraulic Schematics
