The Housing Development Crew Leader supervises a team to efficiently complete new housing construction jobs including but not limited to

framing, roofing, installation of vinyl siding, windows and doors.

Qualifications

Housing Development Crew Leader

Employee Job Type: Non-Exempt
Employee Classification: Full Time
Immediate Supervisor: Housing Development and Rehabilitation Director
Positions Supervised: Housing Crew Members
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and Ten years work experience in construction or similar field required; skills in framing and/or roofing and/or vinyl installation are required; skills in general carpentry are required, willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Additional Requirements: Valid Kentucky driver’s license
Duties and Responsibilities: Each employee is expected to strive for excellence in the performance of their task in an efficient manner, exercising good judgment with a dedication in fulfilling the mission of the agency and service to others. The individuals are expected to keep informed of community issues, regulations, new research, and trends related to their field of work. Integration of agency programs and services places the employee in a position of cooperatively: seeking advice from other employees, sharing of program information, and assisting in other work units when needed. All employees must be conscious of and develop habits in: reducing waste, eliminating duplication of services, and improving productivity and cost effectiveness.

Specific Duties: Efficiently complete scheduled housing new construction jobs; includes but is not limited to, framing, installation of vinyl siding, roof completion, painting, light installations, general construction, and other duties necessary to complete the home.
Assist (as permissible per law and certifications) with installing windows and doors, and assisting with the completion of skilled labor tasks (as permissible per law and certifications) such as installing hot water heaters and heating/cooling systems, and associated work including
electrical, pipe and duct work Assist with the set up of equipment as it pertains to individual job completion

Complete purchase orders for materials for jobs as needed per agency financial policies and procedures
Complete on-site record keeping and other compliance procedures
Complete all training requirements and maintains updates
Supervise volunteers, employment services workers, and other non-staff as necessary.
Supervise Housing Crew Members through all aspects of the construction process.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Practice safety in all aspects of the job, maintain confidentiality and security of both staff and customers, and adhere to program
standards regarding communicable diseases and blood born pathogens.
Cooperatively work with staff, community service providers, funding sources, and other resources to promote agency programs,
vision, and goals.
Attend all staff meetings, training and other meetings deemed necessary by the supervisor to gain knowledge of programs to
ensure effective delivery of services and/or required by the agency; this includes, management team and strategic planning.
Maintain necessary records to prepare reports as required through maintenance of databases.
Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to the delivery of services made available by related programs.
