Job Type Short-Term Education High School / GED Travel None Security Clearance Required None Pay Range $22.00 - 28.00 / hr Position Introduction Cimarron is seeking System Assemblers to support a large aerospace and defense customer in North Charleston, SC.

Although these positions are supporting a 1-year contract, these positions are full-time / benefited (i.e. PTO, 401(k), insurance) positions with Cimarron.

Key Duties

• Perform routine production assembly operations on structural / mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories.
• Perform necessary pre-installation assembly work requiring the use of production and engineering prints to determine exact locations.
• Report job constraints such as : errors caused by workmanship, defects in parts, materials, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.

in accordance with company procedures.

• Perform any repairs, rework, functional checks and the incorporation of authorized changes, etc., as outlined by Lead.
• Maintain general shop skills, including Foreign Object and Debris (FOD) prevention.
• Be safety conscious; employ the use of safety glasses, safety harnesses, respirators, boot socks, and other pertinent safety equipment at all times.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

• As a federal contractor, all Cimarron employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective January 18, 2022.

Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks after both doses of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine has been administered (FDA approved vaccines).

Proof of vaccination will be required. Anyone unable to be vaccinated, either because of a sincerely held religious belief or a medical condition or disability that prevents them from being vaccinated, can request a reasonable accommodation.

• 1 or more years experience in aerospace systems and / or aerospace assembly.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to bend and twist at the waist, walk, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, and climb / balance.
• Ability to use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.
• Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions, and instructions.
• Ability to safely handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material.
• Ability to obtain and maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities.
• Ability to stand on flat or uneven surfaces frequently (8 hrs or more).
• Ability to work any shift assigned.
• Comfortable having exposure to metals, plastics, and solvents.
• Comfortable with frequent exposure to noise.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

• 3 or more years of aerospace systems experience (e.g., hydraulic, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste and potable water systems).
• Relevant aerospace manufacturing degree and / or certificate.
