Job Description : South Carolina Site Requisition Airport and North Campus SOW Business need
years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
- aviation / technical school experience required
- Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
- Use a computer in a production environment.
- Look up / read / comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and / or specifications.
- Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
- Appropriate protective clothing / equipment determined by the task you are performing.
- Operate mechanical lifts of various types ( ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
- Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, -Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
- Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
- Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
- Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking / riveting).
- Climbing / balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
- Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards / shock, circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
- Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
- Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
- Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
- Work in confined space and respirator usage.
- Carrying / Lifting up to - pounds.
- Flexion / Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head / neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to qualify and use a respirator.
- Ability to work a variable shift (st, nd, or rd)
- Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
- Proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking / riveting).
