IWC Food Service is Hiring a Lift Operator Second Shift Near Cookeville, TN

Second shift position

Start time: 3 pm - when all the trailers have been loaded and ready for delivery the next day

Operating a stand up/reach truck forklift

Pay: $15.00 up to $17.00, depending on assigned area.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Summary: The forklift operator is primarily responsible for scanning and putting each product into the correct bay in the warehouse ahead of the selectors. Filling all slots ahead of selectors during the outbound process. Must be able to work for a long period of time in varying climates – dry, cooler and freezer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Forklift operator is primarily responsible for scanning and putting each product into the correct bay in the warehouse ahead of the selectors.
  • Expected to know to understand all aspects of the outbound process, adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards; and be willing and able to work on powered equipment, such as a forklift or any related material handling equipment.
  • To be focused on customer service, quality, and the safety and productivity of their fellow warehouse associates.
  • Filling all slots ahead of selectors during the outbound process.
  • Experience in the use of computerized inventory controls systems.
  • Maintain quality standards as required by the management team.
  • Meet productivity requirements as required.
  • Safe working habits at all times are required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Maintain an exceptionally clean and safe working environment.
  • Must be able to work for a long period of time in varying climates – dry, cooler and freezer.
  • Must be able to communicate, get along with and work well with other employees
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all work instructions.
  • Working your assigned schedule and coming to work on time is required.
  • Work is mainly performed in the Cookeville warehouse.
