The Receiver is the first person to see the product coming from IWC vendors.Finding damaged product and discrepancies on deliveries are essential for accurate inventory control and proper billing

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.

• Responsible for making sure quantities and products are correct.
• Retrieve receiving schedule (lists the quantities and products ordered to come in that day).
• Outside vendors’ trucks are directed by receivers as to which dock to go to.
• The receiver must check trailer temperatures as well as product temperatures of frozen and cooler items.
• Receivers unload products using forklifts and pallet jacks and some cases have to be unloaded by hand.
• Once unloaded, receivers must check that the quantity and the product (brand, size, etc.) match what was ordered and delivered. Any discrepancies have to be brought to the attention of the buyers and receiving coordinator.
• The receiver must find any damages to cases or product itself and any outdated items.
• The receiver must be able to determine if produce is spoilt or near spoilage. Any changes must be noted and entered into the AS400 system.
• Items are then taken to the appropriate aisle to be put in the proper slots by the stockers.
• Receivers must clean dock area and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed.
• Working your assigned schedule and coming to work on time is required.
• Must be able to read and comprehend all work instructions.
• Must be able to communicate, get along with and work well with other employees.
• Work is performed in the Cookeville warehouse.
