IWC Food Service is Hiring a Shipping Clerk Near Cookeville, TN
SCHEDULE: Sunday through Thursday 2 pm till the job is done.
SUMMARY:
Performs routine clerical and support duties relating to the shipping and delivery of IWC product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Performs various clerical duties relating to the warehouse functions.
- Assists sales personnel prior to cut-off with orders, add-ons, etc.
- Processes credits for all returned product from today’s deliveries.
- Scan invoices into database.
- Checks credit slips and looks up picking errors.
- Route Planning: Diagrams for efficient selection and loading.
- Fills out necessary paperwork for route loading completion; alerts yard spotter to change trucks and prepares route information for drivers.
- Key in driver payroll activity.
- Key in catch weights, shorts, and subs and researches discrepancies.
- Checks warehouse inventory for product that cannot be found, assists in searching for this product.
- Processes Scheduled Reports – End of Day, Weekly, Monthly, etc.
- Clean and maintain label printers and office in general.
- Processes route invoices and assembles routes with manifests for dispatch.
- Answer incoming phones and email requests.
- Pulls purchase orders for trucks to be received in early morning hours.
- Will provide cross-training to other personnel for training as a back-up.
- Must be able to communicate, get along with and work well with other employees.
- Must be able to read and comprehend all work instructions.
- Working your assigned schedule and coming to work on time is required.
- Work is performed in the Cookeville warehouse.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

- Capable of operating pallet jacks safely and properly

- Capable of working in controlled temperature environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous clerical experience a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The physical demands of this job are typical of that of an office employee, requiring the employee to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to type and the telephone to talk and hear.
- Minimum physical exertion.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10- key calculator, phone and similar machines.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs daily, without assistance, and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with assistance.
