The Advanced Center for Psychotherapy in affiliation with Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is currently seeking a Full-time temporary Ambulatory Care Representative to assist our professional staff consisting of licensed and certified psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As an Ambulatory Care Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility. Responsible for greeting patients/family, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling hospital, and ambulatory admissions/procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, verify/update insurance and patient demographics and perform patient registration (check-in check-out process).
• Greeting and screening patients.
• Collecting clinic/insurance payments and dispersing carfare.
• Providing coordination of services to address patient needs related to benefits, finance and other services.
• Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
• General clerical support i.e faxing, scanning, sorting mail etc.

REQUIREMENT

• Must have High School Diploma or General Equivalence degree.
• Must be computer literate.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous registration experience preferred.
• Excellent phone and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work evenings and alternate weekends
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
