Accounts Payable Specialist
Educators Resource is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. If you are an ambitious go-getter, we could be the company for you.
Full time; Non-Exempt
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities
- Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies and process invoices for payment.
- Monitor all vendor payment terms and or discounts.
- Request and Reconcile Statements.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Maintain historical records.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
Experience and Education
- Associate degree in accounting preferred
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactive self-starter.
- Knowledge of general accounting/financial procedures.
- Effective business communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with reporting applications.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Communicate person to person, on the phone and in group settings as needed.
- Accurately type and enter data and view computer screens for long periods of time
