Interim Chief Nursing Officer Needed in Alaska
The Position
Seeking an Interim Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing services for a Critical Access Hospital. This role encompasses emergency, inpatient, transitional, outpatient, labor and delivery, infusion and respiratory therapy, surgery, and social services departments.
This leader will report directly to the Hospital Administrator and oversee six department managers, including 110 full-time employees.
The successful candidate will address key initiatives such as transitioning to a new hospital building, recruiting permanent staff amidst housing and cost of living challenges, and upgrading systems from Cerner to Meditech.
Seeking leadership experience in Critical Access Hospitals and familiarity with tribal health systems. Strong skills in change management, conflict resolution, and staff development are highly desired.
Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
Extensive leadership experience in healthcare, specifically in Critical Access or similar setting required.
