About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior management team, responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing a strategic human resources plan to meet both present and future needs. This role encompasses leadership in areas such as employee engagement, talent acquisition and management, organizational effectiveness, HR operations, and total rewards. The VP HR will also be involved in managing the transition to a unified HRIS, with a focus on streamlining processes and enhancing recruitment and retention strategies. Significant experience in labor relations, including leading negotiations and resolving union-related issues, is essential. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong executive presence, committed to valuing and understanding people, and capable of inspiring others in this regard.Candidates for the Vice President of Human Resources position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree as a minimum, with a Master's degree preferred, and have at least ten years of progressive administrative management experience in a hospital setting. A background that includes a minimum of five years at the Director level and prior experience as a Vice President is also desirable. Union experience and SHRM Certified Professional or equivalent certifications are preferred. The role requires a full-time onsite commitment and the ability to work effectively with a large team, including mentoring and educating junior leaders on best practices in employee relations and performance management. The candidate should be goal-oriented, adept at managing with minimal supervision, and have a proven track record of success in the field of human resources.
