The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial and administrative services required by the company to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of incoming cash receipts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mail or email customer daily invoices or monthly statements
- Prepare bank deposits, process credit card payments and post payments to customer accounts
- Reconcile sales reports, generate other reports as needed.
- Maintain and reconcile customer files, post receivable balances and correct discrepancies
- Record entries in accounting software and navigate various systems
- Initiate collection efforts as needed
- Respond to customer inquiries as needed
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience
- Strong PC & system skills: proficiency in MS excel & MS word required and accounting software (Oracle Netsuite and/or Quickbooks experience preferred)
- Excellent written & oral communication, customer service and other general office skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
