• Following standard operating procedures, prepare client billings and detailed reconciliations, obtain required approvals, distribute client invoices and update accounting records
• Research and resolve routine billing questions and discrepancies
• Frequently interact with clients and internal Account Managers, assisting with billing questions and providing copies of supporting documentation
• Process customer auto-draft payments and apply customer credits
• Manage customer account maintenance via our JIRA ticketing system related to:
  • Invoice distribution updates in multiple internal systems
  • OptimizeMyPlan access requests
  • Vendor forms for clients
  • 5500 requests
  • Assist with new client setup and billing packet process
• Other billing administrative tasks as required by management
• Participate in cross training within the Accounting department, as needed

Required Skills / Experience:

• Entry level billing staff (1-2 years in billing processor role)
• Some related accounting or office experience
• Accounting, finance or other business B.S. degree preferred, but not required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• A good knowledge and understanding of billing transactions and processes
• Attention to detail and ability to problem solve
• Well-developed written and oral communications skills
• Understanding the importance of confidentiality when handling PHI (Protected Health Information)
• Highly collaborative team player
• Good math aptitude and the ability to work accurately with numbers are essential
• Takes initiative, willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously to meet deadlines
