Concrete Estimator Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as an Estimator on concrete construction projects including structural concrete, flatwork, tilt-wall, and architectural.
- Strong communication skills, able to lead meetings with clients
- Proficient in Exel, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Vista, and experience with BuildingConnected is preferred
- Construction Management or an Engineering degree is preferred
Concrete Estimator Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial concrete projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine construction requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to assess project scope and identify potential issues
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
- Create comprehensive cost analyses and take-offs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead
- Coordinate with vendors to acquire necessary materials and ensure timely delivery to project sites
