COMPANY OVERVIEW
We are a family-owned and operated, estate winery located just outside of Kalamazoo in Oshtemo Township. We believe in highlighting the beauty of Southwest Michigan by exploring terroir and agriculture. We believe in crafting wine and cider in small batches, for maximum care to detail and quality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Tasting Room Attendant serves winery patrons by welcoming guests, presenting beverage options, collecting payment, and providing an overall enjoyable tasting experience. They support a team environment by providing clean tables, performing other necessary side work and helping coworkers as needed. They promote responsible wine and cider consumption by educating patrons on the beverage offerings at the winery. The tasting room attendant also provides assistance with winery events. This is a part-time position that requires weekend availability.
Specific Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
JOB DUTIES
Opening and closing, stocking wine, cider, and retail products
Responsibly pour selected wines and ciders for visitors according to tasting room guidelines and procedures, and in accordance with laws and regulations
Develop basic knowledge of the wines, ciders, and winemaking practices to continually promote and educate guests on the winery and its offerings
Handle POS transactions
Provide all guests with excellent customer service
Available to work special winery events on some weekends and evenings
Assist with packaging of wine as needed
Clean tasting room, bathroom facilities, wash and polish glassware used in the tasting room
Responsible for ensuring all wine shipments are properly packaged and sent in accordance with wine shipping laws
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Detail and action oriented
· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
· Ability to stand for up to 6 hours
· Basic wine and cider knowledge is preferred, but not required
· Alcohol server training certification (TAM/TIPS) is preferred, but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
