PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Reporting to the Director of Resource Development, the Resource Development Coordinator will be required to fulfill all administrative duties in relation to the development department, maintain our donor database system, help plan events, and much more. The Resource Development Coordinator works closely across departments to provide excellent service.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor Management
·Oversee the donor database including gift entry, constituent coding, regular reconciliation with accounting records, database organization, and reporting
·Coordinate key donor communications, including gift acknowledgments, e-communications, and other promotions
·Facilitate the successful implementation of key stewardship initiatives by producing a weekly stewardship report for members of the Resource Development team, CEO, CFO, and members of the Board of Directors Resource Development Committee
Grants
·Help research, write, secure, and track grant opportunities that align with our programs
·Record applications, responses, and awards in the Salesforce database
·Create reports for tracking and reporting purposes
Events
·Support the Resource Development department with the planning and implementation of our annual events
·Research and reach out to potential corporate sponsors or contributors
· Ability to have a flexible schedule, some weekends, and alternative hours may be requested for specials events
Administrative Support
·Maintain historical records
·Prepare information for management to meet special requests for data
·Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
·Remain in compliance with all legal and institutional requirements at all times
·Remain in constant communication with teammates and management
·Manage workflow as prescribed to maximize efficiency
·Provide other administrative support as needed
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
·Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field or education/experience equivalency. Associate’s degree or education/experience equivalency considered.
·One year of work in the nonprofit field preferred
·Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
·Experience with Salesforce preferred
·Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy
·Professional telephone etiquette skills
·Demonstrate high standards of ethics and integrity
·Strong organizational skills
·Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under time pressures
·Ability to work with others as part of a team effort
·Must be detail-oriented, adaptable to changes, possess strong analytical, communication, and exceptional writing abilities
·Valid California State Driver’s License
·CPR and First Aid certification or ability to certify upon hire
