Steel Processing Company is a high volume heat treating facility specializing in the heat treating of small fasteners and small metal stampings. We have been in business since 1986 and we are looking to add to our team.

SPC is currently seeking dynamic candidates for the position of:

FURNACE OPERATOR

Position Overview:

* Maintain furnace control to meet specified requirements of process

* Run, operate, and monitor the heat treat furnace through all stages of the process

* Inspect material to determine quantity and note any damaged, defective or suspect material

* Safely operate hi-lo

* Follow specific work instructions to complete daily work assignments in a timely manner

* Support all process, policy, and procedure up to customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations and expectations

* Completes all necessary paperwork to document the furnace process and any exceptions

* Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area

* Perform duties in a safe and productive manner

* Assist in heat treat shop activities and perform other duties as assigned

Shifts:

Day Shift: 7am - 3pm

Afternoon Shift: 3pm-11pm

Midnight Shift: 11pm - 7am

Qualifications:

* Must have Hi-Lo Experience

* Previous experience with Heat Treat a plus

* High School Diploma and/or GED

* Must have reliable transportation

* Ability to understand basic math & possess basic computer skills

* Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

* Ability to communicate well with other employees
