Essential Duties

* Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures, promptly reporting and investigating all accidents, incidents, and injuries in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.

* Identify, plan, design, and implement processes and procedures to optimize resource use, improve services, and reduce costs.

* Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

* Manage both Local and Linehaul dispatch operations, overseeing routing, scheduling, and dispatching of drivers, equipment, and freight loads, while ensuring efficient operations and timely reporting of activities.

* Maximize equipment and driver utilization to create efficiencies between terminals.

* Collaborate closely with Human Resources and Regulatory Compliance to maintain driver records and training.

* Coordinate with Repair and Maintenance to ensure equipment is properly maintained and available for use.

* Work with Terminal Managers daily to plan staffing, freight, and equipment movement.

* Collaborate with Account Executives as necessary.

* Assist Human Resources in recruitment and retention efforts.

* Collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy with pay, hours worked, and benefits, fostering seamless communication and alignment to uphold employee satisfaction and compliance standards.

* Oversee accurate and timely timekeeping records.

* Manage professional development and productivity of staff members, ensuring proper goals, training, and project requirements are met.

* Perform any other required duties

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED equivalent required

* Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred

* Five to seven years' dispatching, or progressively responsible experience in the transportation industry including at least two years of supervisory experience

* Experience with transportation industry-specific software

* Valid Driver License, Class A CDL preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel

* Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills

* Strong organizational and customer service skills, attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong interpersonal as well as analytical skills and attention to detail

* Basic understanding of mathematical concepts

* Knowledge of financial management principles and concepts

* Must be able to multi-task with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve and

* Knowledge of DOT regulations, weights, measures, and hours of service requirements
