Position Description: The Software Engineer will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) by providing software design, development, and maintenance. The position includes full lifecycle software support for web applications, user interfaces, geo-processing tools, GIS map services, REST interfaces, database manipulation applications/interfaces, and workflow management tools. NAVOCEANO is located at NASA’s Stennis Space Center and the work would be performed in NAVOCEANO’s facilities. Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in software/computer engineering or computer science. 3 years’ experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
