Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Die Setter to join our team. As a Die Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining dies in various machines to ensure efficient production processes.
This is a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, requiring strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities :
- Set up and install dies in machines such as presses, lathes, milling machines, and press brake machines
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper die alignment and functionality
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine machine setup requirements
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts
- Fabricate or modify dies as needed using hand tools and machining equipment
- Collaborate with production team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize machine performance
- Perform routine maintenance on dies and machines to ensure optimal functionality
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Die Setter or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of die setting procedures and techniques
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to operate various hand tools and machining equipment
- Experience with logic controllers, Fanuc systems, welding, or press brake machines is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
