Aqua Sierra Controls is a highly recognized Instrumentation and Electrical Contractor specializing in process control automation for Industrial and Municipal installations for over 40 years. We are seeking a qualified Senior Instrumentation and Controls Technician who can work independently and is willing to travel. Must have five years of experience or a certificate of completion from an accredited 2-year technical school or an ISA Certified Control Systems Technician level 1 certificate of completion .
Typical instruments serviced include D/P & pressure transmitters, temperature & analytical instruments, open channel flow & closed pipe flow instruments, PLCs, etc. Knowledge of AC electrical required up to 480ph/3 phase, and PLC knowledge for programming is a plus. This position does require travel and some overnight stays to & from our customer's plants/places of business within the state of California. Our company pays Mileage, meals, and hotel.
· Installs and maintains process control instruments.
· Calibrates, traces, and corrects control loop malfunctions.
· Verifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments such as pressure, flow, temperature, pH, turbidity, and conductivity ; documents failure rates on specified equipment
· Develops preventative maintenance (PM) documentation; performs PM and corrective.
· Repairs, tests, adjusts, or installs electronic equipment such as industrial controls, transmitters, HMI, VFD, and PLCs.
