Summary:

Under general direction, the Group Sales Executive conducts sales activities related to selling Drury Hotels' guest rooms and meeting facilities by following the direction of Drury United,

The Sales

Difference in order to increase company, market and hotel revenue. Responsible for achieving the revenue goals set forth by Drury Hotels.

Primary responsibility is to find and grow group revenue within the Corporate and Government market areas.

An average of 80% of time is devoted to client-facing sales activities with the potential for travel out of home city up to 5% of time.

Performance is measured by revenue growth and includes achievement of group goal, new account development, achievement of sales plans, and cultivation of account/market relationships with key decision makers.

General Knowledge Skill and Ability:

Requires intermediate knowledge of sales techniques and professional business practices. Requires ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Requires proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Requires effective time management and organizational skills.

Education:

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college. Highly recommend college degree related to sales and marketing.

Experience:

Requires minimum of two to four years of outside sales experience, preferably in hospitality or related field, or completion of internal sales training program. Experience in assigned market area is a preferred.
