SUMMARY
The Library Associate is part of the larger Learning Services team, reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Student Experience. In this capacity, they primarily focus on working directly with students, supporting their skills as independent learners, tutoring and assisting with academic projects and assignments, and managing the culture of the library and library commons area (as well as the 2nd floor when necessary).
This position supports the schools curriculum by promoting information literacy and providing a library setting conducive to active and participatory learning and resource-based instructional practices.
The Library Associate supports the daily function of the schools library. The Library Associate performs various functions to assist faculty, staff, and students with using library services. Daily duties include supervising students, circulation of materials, shelving, helping users locate resources, and completing library-related clerical tasks such as printing/copying.

Physical demands include dexterity in operating office machines and supplies, including, but not limited to, computers, telephones, copy machines, and printers. Stooping, bending, reaching for files or supplies, and sitting or standing for extended periods are common.
