Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm, seeks an exceptional paralegal for its Litigation Team in Wilmington, DE. The standard hours for this position are 9:30-6:00 and require flexibility. This is a hybrid position, 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively with attorneys and other staff to ensure our clients and co-counsel receive outstanding service and attention;
- Assisting the Corporate and General Litigation Departments at every stage of the litigation process, including the preparation, management and organization of documents and filings, and deposition and trial logistics;
- Flexibility to travel and assist clients, attorneys and staff during trials and hearings; and
- Must be flexible in work routine and work overtime as needed;
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Knowledgeable in litigation, automated support systems and cite-checking;
- Knowledge of Delaware’s Superior, Chancery and District Courts;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Experience using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to meet deadlines and multitask;
- Ability to deal with interruptions and multiple pressures;
- Excellent communication, written and verbal skills, positive attitude, dependability, good judgment & initiative;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Litigation and E-filing (File & Serve and CM/ECF) experience preferred;
- Commitment to excellence;
- Associates degree or paralegal certificate; and
- 2 years’ experience in a paralegal role.
Starting salary commensurate with years experience.
