Richards, Layton & Finger is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Wilmington, DE

Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm, seeks an exceptional paralegal for its Litigation Team in Wilmington, DE. The standard hours for this position are 9:30-6:00 and require flexibility. This is a hybrid position, 4 days in office, 1 day remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively with attorneys and other staff to ensure our clients and co-counsel receive outstanding service and attention;
  • Assisting the Corporate and General Litigation Departments at every stage of the litigation process, including the preparation, management and organization of documents and filings, and deposition and trial logistics;
  • Flexibility to travel and assist clients, attorneys and staff during trials and hearings; and
  • Must be flexible in work routine and work overtime as needed;

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledgeable in litigation, automated support systems and cite-checking;
  • Knowledge of Delaware’s Superior, Chancery and District Courts;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Experience using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask;
  • Ability to deal with interruptions and multiple pressures;
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills, positive attitude, dependability, good judgment & initiative;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Litigation and E-filing (File & Serve and CM/ECF) experience preferred;
  • Commitment to excellence;
  • Associates degree or paralegal certificate; and
  • 2 years’ experience in a paralegal role.

Starting salary commensurate with years experience.
