General Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree in Business is preferred
Experience: Three years of experience with high level of proficiency in MS Office, computer equipment/systems, scanners, printers, phones and fax machines.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be honest, integral and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Must have a good attitude and excellent customer service skills.
Post job ads/updates in payroll system and agency website.
Process Wage Verifications.
Publish and update all job ads on all career pages and action pact facilities.
Provides assistance as requested by HR Director to ensure other department support is provided as needed.
Processes check requisitions for payments, employment letters.
Assists with status changes /hiring/terminations in HR/Payroll system.
Create/run reports in HR/Payroll system.
Must possess the ability to thoroughly carry out instructions and maintain accurate and efficient records.
Must be able to attend job fairs and possess the skill set to answer applicant questions intellectually.
Must have the drive, ability, and enthusiasm to communicate and speak before an audience.
Be able to communicate to superiors orally and in writing.
Assist with all aspects of hiring process for new staff/orientation, ie, schedule interviews, process fingerprint and drug screen paperwork. Process and pick up criminal record checks from the police department, mail and email applicant notifications etc.
Must have solid organizational and time management skills.
Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with clients and vendors outside of the agency.
Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with coworkers.
Oversee the processing, verifications, and maintenance of personnel documents.
Have a good understanding of HR operations (recruiting, onboarding, training, and compensation).
Handles confidential documents, calls and composes letters which require official signatures.
These duties are not all inclusive and the employee will also perform other unrelated program duties as assigned by the HR Director.
