Job Description
DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking a motivated and experienced Program Manager (certified PMP) to join our team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs. The Program Manager will oversee a team supporting various function areas and take the lead on PMO initiatives aimed at enhancing project delivery capabilities and organizational effectiveness. 
Project Management Plan Execution: enhance project execution and delivery by leveraging the comprehensive PMP that outlines the approach, timeline, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client guidelines and best practices.
PMO and Process Oversight: Support the implementation of disciplined, comprehensive, and flexible project management processes, including the monitoring of project metrics, risk management, and reporting on approved cost, schedule, performance, and risk baselines.
Project Improvement Maintenance: on a monthly basis assess for delivery efficiency and quality improvements across function areas (KPIs) and make updates to the PMP and roadmap as necessary.
Communications and Human-centered Design: lead the team with the creation of products, services, and systems that are intuitive, usable, and enjoyable for the people who will be using them, ultimately leading to better user experiences and outcomes.
Change Management: Following the ADKAR model, provide a structured approach for managing individual change within organizations, helping VA stakeholders and constituents understand and address needs as they navigate through the change process.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • At least 10 years of project management experience supporting large corporations or government agencies. Any experience with VA or VA health system a huge plus.
  • PMP required.
  • Strong background in communications, with excellent and highly details writing and editorial abilities
  • Human-centered design, change management and PMO stand up strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large federal programs and effectively handling various aspects of compliance, contract management, and teaming partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams towards shared objectives through clear communication and strategic planning. Ability to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
