Job SummaryWe are seeking a Prep Cook to join the BSB&G family! We are a small town restaurant that provides great food & drinks to our locals with our big menu & good vibes! In this position, you will be responsible for using high-quality ingredients to prep food for delicious meals. The ideal candidate is experienced, able to work independently & in a fast paced environment, reliable & punctual and is a team player.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
- Work off of Prep list to ensure all items are completed for shift
- Communicate regularly with managers about inventory or any relevant information regarding products
- Rotate stock & follow respective food safety regulations
- Follow all food safety & cleanliness regulations
- Participate in daily kitchen opening procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, minimum 1 year
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and basic recipes
- Team player but also able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 pounds
