US Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is Hiring a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN Near Suffolk, VA

Duties

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN at the GS-2005-7 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Develops, implements and evaluates all aspects of the supply support plan for Joint Staff in HR (JSHR).
  • The incumbent: defines scope, interface requirements, policy issues and performance criteria; develops milestones; ensures compliance with policies or recommends new ones; and defines problems with added recommendations for issues to be addressed in the supply support plan. The incumbent also ensures coordination between all JSHR organizations for all matters related to supply.
  • Analyzes and plans for the implementation of new policy statements, regulations and directives issued by higher headquarters concerning supply and property accountability activities.
  • Prepares briefs that will be given to higher level officials within the JS and other coordinating components on supply plans and issues.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-07, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Conducting extensive research and maintaining property accountability using an automated system;
  • Serving as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program holder;
  • Reconstructing records;
  • Preparing statement of work to initiate the acquisition process;
  • Planning and coordinating mailroom operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
