Part-time, Temporary Description Girl Scouts of Western Washington is seeking four enthusiastic and organized Community Event Assistant's to assist with planning and implementing impactful membership recruitment events and activities across the Western Washington region this summer. In this role, you will support Girl Scouts of Western Washington's recruitment team in executing membership growth strategies while gaining firsthand knowledge of external brand promotion and sales. This role assists with planning and implementing impactful membership recruitment events and activities across the region during the summer. This includes conducting research, coordinating logistics, promoting events through marketing and community outreach, tracking data, and ensuring successful on-site event operations. This work is performed independently, in pairs, and as well as with direction from the Council Community Development Managers. This is a part-time (up to 20 hours per week), temporary role expected to last no longer than 12 weeks depending on start date. For purposes of internal wage equity, this position will start at $20.00/hour; the full job grade range is $20.00 to $23.53/hour based on tenure with Girl Scouts of Western Washington. This is an non-benefitted position, with the exception of those required by law. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage on-site setup, activation and tear down of events throughout the region
Assist with researching potential events, community festivals and other opportunities to drive lead generation and brand recognition
Promote events through distributing fliers, social media, community calendars and cross-promotional opportunities
Working with your direct supervisor, manage all event setup materials and promotional inventory
Track and report out event registration numbers, attendance, membership conversion metrics
Engage with prospective members, parents and community members at events
Provide friendly customer service and handle inquiries about Girl Scout membership

Incoming high school senior or older - must be 18 years old by employment start date
Interest in event management, marketing, communications, or related field
Strong organizational abilities and great attention to detail
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Comfortable with public speaking and interacting with people of all ages
Proficient with Microsoft Office apps
Must be able to work some weekends and evenings for events
Valid Driver License and acceptable driving record
Access to reliable and insured transportation
